Camping Vest?

I just bought a vest from Old navy, Its really nice, but I don’t think its great for camping. Then I saw this vest (The Olive Color)

MMMM….yeah! Old Navy…a trusted brand for outdoor clothing since 1994.

At least the designers at Land’s End make a fleeting attempt to be “outdoorsy”.

The bottom line is the vast majority of the sportwear companies…including A&F and EB design their stuff for fashion…not function.

You’re better off going with something from LL.Bean or The North Face or Patagonia. Their stuff is still more fashion oriented but at least the quality of the down and the construction of the garment is better than the crap Old Navy and the Gap try to sell to the typical mallrat with a big allowance.

If you really want high-quality, go with a company that makes stuff intended to be used in the field…not something sold for $29.99 at the mall.
